For this project, each group had to choose 2 systems of the body. We had to create a presentation and build a model that represented how both of our chosen body systems worked. My group chose the nervous system and the muscular system. We showed how the nervous system would send signals to the muscles, telling therm what to do.
Content
Organ system: a group of organs working together to perform bodily functions
Muscular system: includes skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscles
Skeletal- control voluntary actions
Cardiac- pacemaker contracts and expands to pump blood in and out of the heart
Smooth- control involuntary actions
Nervous System: sends and receives signals to and from organs in the body
Brain- sends messages and processes information
Nerves- connects nervous system to other organs
Neurons- the chemical and electrical signal that travels through the nervous system
Spinal chord- sends messages from brain to nerves

Reflection
I did not necessarily like this project. I was not very interested about organ systems, although I did like learning about the organ systems my group and I chose. I did not play a big leadership role in this project, I was just told what to do and I did it. I got off task a lot which I have had problems with before. I will continue to work on this into the new year. Although, I did like building the project. It reminded me a lot of last school year's STEM Engineering. I really enjoyed using the power saw and building the project.
